Social Studies

Fourth grade students will be studying the history of Pennsylvania. Field trips will include trips to Historic Bethlehem, Harrisburg and Lancaster.( If funds are available) Students will also be responsible for several projects throughout the year.Below is a list of excellent resources for our unit on Pennsylvania.

Fountain Hill Curriculum for Grade Four

This site was created by a Georgine Smalley, a teacher at Fountain Hill School in Bethlehem, and is coordinated with the fourth grade textbook. Each chapter is connected to a site which would provide further information. It is an excellent resource for anyone needing information on Pennsylvania.

White House For Kids

This site is an excellent way for kids to learn all about the White House as well as the president. There is also a page where students can write directly to the president himself.
