Writing Workshop

Students in grade four will be required to keep a writing notebook including all types of genre writing. At the end of the school year students will choose a favorite document to be included in a special class book. This book will include the students' photographs as well as a written selection decided by the student.Computers will be used to publish all stories throughout the year. The Writing Workshop period will be approximately 50 minutes daily.

I have decided to teach a special unit using this web page for part of the writing workshop period. I have included a link to a detailed description of this plan. Click the Fun Stuff gif and you can read the plan.
